What is Venmo?
Venmo is a secure and useful service for collecting money and paying others all from your computer or smartphone. It’s just like PAYPAL, but unlike Pay-pal, you can give money from your bank checking/savings account without any service fees. The best part is that it’s FREE. However, if you choose to give via credit card they ask for 3% service fee.
Setup an Account
• Click on this link to signup, https://venmo.com/signup or download the Venmo App on your smartphone.
• You will see a breakdown of their fees… Remember there are no fees to have an account and no fees to send money if paying with bank account or debit card.
• On the next page, you will create your account. You can sign up with facebook or you can fill out your info to sign up with an email address. It is important to give them a cell phone number with access to text messages. To activate your account, they will send you a code via text message to the phone number you provide.

• After creating an account, go to "Search People" and type in Seattle Baptist Church.“ You should see this as the profile picture:
• Then click the button, “Pay or Request” and type in the amount you would like to give. Under "What's it For?" you can include your designations for giving such as...
tithe = $10
missions = $5
bus = $5
• Click "Pay" and you are done!
You will receive an email as form of receipt for your records.
We also recommend changing your account privacy settings to "private." This will ensure that only you and our church bookkeeper see you're giving.
